Flessenboot by Floris Hovers

Flessenboot 2011

A beautifully simple toy by Dutch designer Floris Hovers. Inspired by observing the fact that children are often more interested in the packaging rather than the toy itself, his individually hand-made sails can be attached to empty shampoo bottles and it is then up to the child's imagination to bring the toy to life.

Glastonbury Awaits

With University over there's nothing left for me to do but celebrate and dance and sing and drink and laugh and run and fly and jump around a Somerset cow field. Let's hope the weather is as good as last year!

Receipt Rethink - Berg Studio London

Was flicking through this month's Icon (issue 097) and saw this great project by Berg Studio, London. The receipt is such a humble object which we interact with and use every day and I think a little spruce up like this could make us all enjoy these little pieces of paper that bit more.
